Space: Yoga Nidra practice for resting in the body’s inner space
This is a guided Yoga Nidra meditation designed to bring you out of the thinking mind and back into the body through an ancient buddhist technique of placing awareness on space.
It’s also a powerful space for creating a sankalpa… a deeply felt intention or inner knowing that arises not from the mind, but from a place of clarity and connection within you.
A sankalpa isn’t a goal or something you’re trying to force into existence.
It’s a quiet, grounded truth… a direction your system is ready to move toward.
In this practice, you’ll be guided to:
- Soften tension and release subtle holding patterns in the body
- Smooth and regulate the breath without force
- Move awareness through the body in a slow, deliberate way
- Experience the body as space, rather than something to control or fix
- Access a deeper state of rest where your sankalpa can naturally arise
Rather than trying to “switch off” or clear the mind, this practice gently redirects your awareness, allowing the nervous system to settle and the body to return to a more natural rhythm.
From this place, intention becomes something you feel… not something you chase.
It’s especially supportive if you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in cycles of thinking and doing.
Rest in the space of your heart and to listen for the deepest desires that are quietly ready to unfold within you.
