The Secret Link Between Your Hormones & Your Breath

This month in clinic we talked a lot about hormonal shifts that were testing up. What most women don't know is that the way you breathe rules the overall chemical balance of your endocrine system... your hormones.
I promised that when there were continual patterns testing in the collective, that you and I would talk about them together. Because likely, you've felt an experience in this frequency too.

Right now, breathwork is really having a moment. It's for good reason... our breath is the fastest pathway to open the trapdoor of the mind. I was talking to a client this week who had been repeating a powerful mantra for several years (prescribed by a different kinesiologist) and yet the same mantra tested up in our session together.
Repeating something in our mind is like turning on the lightswitch in the attic of our house. It's bright and wonderful and we can see clearly when we go up into the attic to grab that one thing quickly, but we don't stay there, do we? We go to the attic rarely and that's because we live the other 95% of our day in the rooms of our house. The rooms of the house are in total chaos! There's clutter everywhere. Random items from our childhood piled up in the corners of the rooms, old journals full of our old heartaches stashed away in the closets, and today's pot of emotions is boiling over on the kitchen hob destroying the to-do lists that were scribbled and placed too close to the oven.
When we are flapping around through the house like this we are literally just trying to save the pot from overflowing and destroying everything. We can't catch a breath in this mess and we have totally forgotten and are completely unaware that we turned the light on up in the attic.
Does that analogy make sense?
The positive thought or mantra is not leaving our neocortex (the attic) and is not translating to our nervous system and organs (the rooms in our house).
So what do we need to do?
We find a way to open the trapdoor in the bottom of the attic so that the light will trickle down into the main house and effect the rest of the rooms.
We do this through the breath. It is the fastest, easiest and most powerful way to access the subconscious mind, consciously and bring the whole system into coherence.
